This page explains what personal data GiftCardEver collects, why, who else receives it and how long we keep it. We collect as little as we can: you can read the whole site without giving us your name or email.
Who is responsible
GiftCardEver (giftcardever.com) is operated by Swiss BD GmbH, Zürich, Switzerland, which is responsible for the personal data described here. For any privacy question or request, write to [email protected] or use the contact form.
What we collect

We don’t sell personal data, and we don’t ask for payment details, ID documents or bank information.
Buying through our links
When you click a “Buy now” button, we count the click for that card without recording who you are, and send you to the other store, such as Kinguin. From then on, that store collects the data it needs for your purchase and sets its own cookies, including a cookie that tells it the visit came from us. Its own privacy policy applies. We never see your payment details or order.
Cookies, analytics and ads
We use only a few cookies ourselves, for example to remember that you are logged in or that you just sent a review. Other cookies come from these services:
- Google Analytics shows us how many people visit and which pages they read, as aggregated statistics.
- Google AdSense and Google Ads show ads on the site and measure them. Google may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. - Cloudflare delivers and protects the site. Its Turnstile check on our forms tells people apart from bots without puzzles.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works, but ads may become less relevant.
Who else receives data
We share data only with the service providers we need to run the site:
- our hosting provider, where the site and its database are stored;
- Cloudflare, for delivery, security and the Turnstile check;
- Google, for analytics and ads;
- Akismet (Automattic), which checks reviews for spam;
- our email provider, to receive contact messages and send the newsletter.
Some of these companies process data outside Switzerland and the EU, for example in the United States. They do so under safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. We also disclose data if the law requires it.
Your rights
You can ask us which personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, limit its use or give you a copy. You can object to our use of it and withdraw any consent you gave. Write to [email protected]; we reply within 30 days. You can also complain to your data protection authority. In Switzerland this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, our forms are protected against spam and bots, and access to our systems is limited to the people who run the site.
Children
GiftCardEver isn’t meant for children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We update this policy when the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
