Sephora gift cards purchased in the United States or Canada can only be redeemed at participating Sephora locations in those two countries, online at sephora.com, in the Sephora app and at Sephora at Kohl’s stores. Per Sephora’s terms and conditions, “Gift cards, eGift Cards, or store merchandise credits purchased in the US or Canada cannot be used in other international locations.” If you are outside the US or Canada, the card will not work at your local Sephora store or on a regional Sephora website.

Sephora gift cards can be redeemed at checkout on sephora.com, in the Sephora mobile app or at any Sephora store. Here are the steps for sephora.com:

1. Sign in to your account at sephora.com.
2. Add items to your basket and proceed to checkout.
3. In the Payment section, select Gift Card as your payment method.
4. Enter the 16-digit gift card number and the 8-digit PIN.
5. Click Save and Continue to apply the balance to your order.

Kinguin is a marketplace with many independent sellers, not a single retailer. Before you buy, check the seller’s rating and number of completed sales on the product page. Kinguin offers an optional paid buyer protection program. Review its current name and terms on Kinguin’s website before adding it to your order. If a code does not work, keep your order confirmation and contact Kinguin support directly. Sephora cannot help with codes purchased from third-party sellers. A Sephora gift card can be used to purchase any merchandise sold at Sephora, including makeup, skincare, fragrance, hair care, tools and bath products. Per Sephora’s gift card FAQ, you cannot use a gift card to buy another gift card. The card has no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash, except where required by law.

Sephora gift cards do not expire. Per Sephora’s terms and conditions, “Sephora Gift Cards, eGift Cards, and store merchandise credits have no expiration date, and no fees will be charged against the unused balance.” There are no inactivity fees or service charges. Your full balance remains available until you spend it.

Sephora provides four ways to check your gift card balance: online at sephora.com/beauty/giftcards, in the Sephora mobile app under your account, by calling 1-888-860-7897 or by asking a Beauty Advisor at any Sephora store.

Sephora gift cards from Kinguin are digital codes, so you can share the card number and PIN with anyone by message or email. The recipient needs to be in the United States or Canada to redeem the card at Sephora. Keep in mind that up to two gift cards can be applied per online order, per Sephora’s terms. For larger purchases, the recipient can use more cards by paying in store, where there is no two-card limit.

No real company, government agency or tech support team will ever ask you to pay with a gift card. If someone contacts you by phone, text or email and demands a Sephora gift card code as payment, it is a scam. Never share your card number or PIN with anyone who asks for it as a form of payment.
